Creating such videos is increasingly easy - many mobile phones and cameras allow short video's to be made. Once saved and edited, these can be uploaded to the Internet. From there they can be tagged, promoted, embedded in most web sites and included in feeds and podcasts.
Examples:
Videos fro Brazil and elsewhere on ICCO Alliance TV
The 2008 Davos meeting asked people to record their answers to a question: "What one thing do you think that countries, companies or individuals must do to make the world a better place in 2008?"
Videos can help to record and disseminate discussions in an event. The Brussels Development Briefings include interviews of speakers and participants - see the video feed.

Peter ballantyne edited social_bookmarking

Social bookmarking
Social bookmarking is a method for Internet users to store, organize, share, search, and manage bookmarks of web pages on the Internet with the help of metadata. Wikipedia provides a list of 'socialsoftware' services.
In other worlds, social bookmarking websites allow users to archive, organize and share Internet resources that they find useful. InsteadInstead of saving these resources on local machines, users store them in a web space where they and others can see them.
The stored links are usually described using keywords or tags. Such tagging allows people to search, share and publish the content, as feeds for example.
CommonCraft made this 3 minute video explaining "the power of social bookmarking and how it works":
